Many people have had the ambition and dream to become a lawyer at one point in there lives however there were many things that prevented them from doing so. The first of these is the duration of time that it takes to become a fully qualified lawyer.
Indeed it takes a very long time and by the end there is still the difficult part of finding a job and in recent times with the credit crunch and all there is less and less demand for jobs paying high salaries which results in many students coming out with a law degree and being forced to work in a job that they initially wanted to avoid by going to university which is stacking shelves at a supermarket and just wondering what ever happened to that "dream job" salary of theirs.
This is a big risk when considering the costs of going to university as currently in the academic year of 2011 - 2012 the university fees in the United Kingdom are £3375 which is roughly $5,419 and that is just for one academic year out of three. And due to the credit crunch most countries have raised the student university fees from the start of the 2012 academic year to an astonishing £9000 each year which is around $14,453.
The other downfall is that whilst you are studying at university the person who decided that they did not wish to go to university and instead start work would be ahead of you as they would have three years of work experience and in the real world experience is the key to success. Some people are unable to attain their dream of becoming a lawyer as the grades that they got were not enough to get them into the law school whether this is by a small or big grade boundary.
So everything here points that in reality becoming lawyer by going through university is obviously not a good way forward, also what's the point coming out of university with debts of up to £27,000 or $43,359 when you can just start out with no debt and slowly build up your career through many alternative ways such as an online law school degree. would you rather not take the safer option and find an alternate route to becoming a lawyer one which is cheaper and will guarantee you just as much as success as going to university?
